Georgina Montgomery is an abstract/contemporary artist working across mediums, mainly paint, mixed media, photography and found objects. A fascination with the concepts of time and existence underpins her creative practice. How can art broaden our perspective and understanding of human time in face of geological time? What insights can art give us about the impact of chance and change on our lives?

In many of Georgina’s projects, she devises or adopts visual language systems (examples: colour-coded alphabets, pictograms, image paragraphs, American Sign Language) to transcribe into 2- and 3-D visual form what scientists, philosophers, poets and satirists have written or said about time and the experience of existence.
